Africa vol.1

About my trip to South Africa - why did I go there? Because my grandpa has a sister Mika who moved(well emigrated) when the communists came to czech republic and started to ruin everything. She couldnt stand that behaviour so when she won a ticket to Vienna, she decided to stay there and then move to Canada. Well as you already know, life has sometimes other plans than we do. So eventually she moved  to Johannesburg. And she invited us(me, mom and grandmom -yep, three generations) to go and visit her for few days. And thats an offer you just cant say no to.(well you can if you dont have any money.)) As you know, I live in Olomouc and our first flight was from Vienna so we took a supercool bus(hahaha, but seriously I love it and I ´ll travel by the same bus as soon as possible)and went there. We flew from Vienna to Paris and from Paris by kickass airbus to Jo´burg. That airbus was so HUUUUGE. It has 2 decks, 538 seats and it was very comfy. The food was great, movies and games too and I you could watch the whole flight on your tv so you felt like you´re the pilot.:)and I had very nice passengers next to me- and old man from Durban(so real south african guy!)and a nice young Indian gentleman who let me sit at his seat next to window:) In Jo´burg was the sweetist weather, the spring started that time like week ago so it was warm, nature was just waking up so all the flowers were like crazy, it was perfect.Jo´burg is pretty huge city, officialy it has like 5000 000 citizens and unoficially it has about 10 000 000 because off all the immigrants from the whole Africa. The first day we have attended an event called "spring lunch" which is usually held on the 1st of September(we arrived 2nd but what the hell.) so we had a big lunch with Mikas friends, her husband Don and people from her office(she´s an architect).Food was delicious and everything was perfectly fine(only Jet lag hit me pretty hard, haha). That was Friday. On Saturday we went shopping, I was taking pictures of the house and garden, reading and swimming in the pool.On Sunday we went to a typical african market which was big, full of great and fair trade stuff and we have bought a lot of presents there. And in the afternoon we went to the airport and flew to Cape town. About that in next post so stay tuned.
